Listening cards are very subtle in a multiplayer pool. If you compare single-handed hearings to multiple-handed hearings, we'll find that if you're not playing nuts, there are two problems in multiplayer:
1., the interest of semi bluff will be reduced because of the drop in the rate of discard.
2., you may encounter better listening than you, and you will lose more when you hear it.
Of course, there are many advantages in listening to cards.
1. Players are often reluctant to bet when they don't have a good hand in a multiplayer game. You can often listen to the card for free without putting in.
2. if you hear the cards, you will have more chances to get rewards because of the large number of competitors.
Dezhou Poker: the game of listening to cards
On balance, the advantages outweigh the disadvantages. I'd rather play in a multiplayer game if I had a hand to play than if I had only one or two opponents. But I wouldn't play too aggressively until I hit the hand. Once I hit, I always try to do my best to see how I can get more chips back.
Shunzi can win more chips than a floral listener. Particularly in a multi-player pool, players are pondering what others might be listening to, and the third floral landing on the table makes all players'movements more cautious. So when you listen to a floral, evaluate the hidden odds correctly, not too high. Estimate.
In a multiplayer pool, if there is a very suitable reshuffle, I sometimes use one hand to listen to the half-bluff. For example, the reshuffle is three small cards, or a pair of small even cards, and give me a Shunzi to listen to the card, the player in the front is not moving, may be holding two high cards missed the reshuffle, I hold enough to discard. The rate of cards is the best bet, and try to get the bottom pool immediately.
