Do you know why Poker has 54 cards?

Poker is the most common way of playing in modern times, with a variety of ways of playing. But how many people have wondered why it is 54? How did this figure come from?

The earliest poker cards weren't 54. How many were they? There are many. For example, in the early days, the French played 52 cards, the Spanish 40 cards, and the Germans only played 32 cards, probably because the Italians were big. Their poker cards were 78 cards and a pair.

The French culture of that era was admired by some European countries, so poker cards were gradually unified into 52 cards. Yes, the big and small kings were still immortals in the sky at that time.

Before the Great Revolution, the French played cards. Old K was the biggest. In the reign of the King, of course, the King was the biggest. Until the French Revolution at the end of the eighteenth century, it was estimated that there should be something in charge of the king, so it became the largest A.

People who went to the New World brought poker back to the United States. When they returned from the United States, they turned into 54 cards, with two more "clowns". Since then, 54 decks of playing cards have become the international standard.

Of course, a pair of poker is very particular. A deck of cards has two colors, red for day and black for night. Four colors represent the four seasons, spades in spring, hearts in summer, diamonds in autumn and plum blossoms in winter. There are 52 weeks in a year and 13 weeks in a quarter, so there are 13 cards in each pattern. The two kings are given the meaning of the sun and the moon, which is quite complete.

Of course, there are other contents, more than 10 J, Q, K, a total of 12, representing 12 months of the year, of course, if you are a constellation fan, it is no problem to say that they represent 12 constellations. The sum of a deck of cards is 364. If each of the two kings counts half a point, it's 365 days a year. If not every one is a point, it is 366, you mean leap year.

The characters on J, Q and K all point out. To be honest, it is not necessary for Chinese culture to be used to commemorating great men in this way.

There are four great kings on K. Spade K is the legendary King David, the King of Israel in the Bible, and our King Zhou Wu are both front-footed and back-footed characters. Red Heart K was Charlemagne the Great in the Kingdom of Frankfurt. He lived between the eighth and ninth centuries A.D. and was called the father of Europe. Diamond K is the Caesar who everyone knows, "God belongs to God, Caesar belongs to Caesar." This is the person who opposes God. The last one is Plum Blossom K. One of the things many people like to think about most is: if Alexander the Great had been fighting in China, could he have fought against the Warring States at that time?

Compared with K, the four queens knew fewer people. Spade Q is Athena, the goddess of wisdom and war in ancient Greek legend; Red Q is Judith, a beautiful widow from ancient Hebrew in the Bible, who killed the general of Assyria with her beauty and defeated the Assyrian attack. Diamond Q is Rachel, a figure in the Bible, and Jacob's second wife. Jacob is one of the twelve disciples of Jesus and the first bishop of Jerusalem. Plum blossom Q is called Akini. This is not a real person, not even a legend. It is said that she is a word produced by the shift of letters in the word "Queen". (That's OK, too?) More important to her was the rose in her hands, which represented the end of the Rose War in medieval England, which was later called the Rose War by Shakespeare.

Finally, there are four J's. Spades are one of Charlemagne's twelve paladins, named Ogil. He was recorded in the epic Song of Roland as the prince of Denmark; Red Heart was Lahore, his attendant to Charles VII and assistant to Joan of Arc; Diamond was Hector, the prince of Troy, the first warrior of Troy, and was finally killed by Achilles; Plum Flower was Lancelot, the most powerful Knight of King Arthur's Round Table, but he fell in love with Queen and Ya. King Se turned his face and finally went out to confess.

These people were picked out by Westerners. God knows what they chose. If the Chinese ancients were replaced, what would they say?
